IBEE Solutions VMs are KVM-based virtual machines you can deploy in minutes from the IBEE Solutions portal, the [`ibee`](/docs/infrastructure/cloud-vms/launch-your-first-vm#using-the-ibee-cli) CLI, or the API. Pick a location, plan, operating system, and network — your server is provisioned with a root disk, a bandwidth allowance, and either a public IP or a private VPC interface. > **Info** > > **New here?** Follow the 5-minute [Launch your first VM](/docs/infrastructure/cloud-vms/launch-your-first-vm) quickstart. ## What you can do * Deploy general-purpose servers (Linux or Windows) in supported regions — up to 5 identical VMs at once. * Pay **Hourly**, or commit **Monthly** or **Yearly** where the plan offers it. * Connect with a public IP, or put the VM in a VPC with **Private + NAT** or **Private only** networking. Attach [Reserved IPs](/docs/network-security/vpc-ip-management/reserved-ips) and protect it with a firewall group. * Change plans without rebuilding — upgrade CPU, RAM, and disk, or downgrade CPU and RAM. * Manage SSH keys, password login, and password resets from **Settings → Access**. * Attach block storage volumes for persistent data outside the root disk. * Take **snapshots** as on-demand recovery points, or schedule **automated backups**. * Restore in place, restore a single disk, or create a new VM from any recovery point. * Monitor CPU, memory, storage, disk I/O, and network throughput in the portal. * Automate the public VM create, read, power, metrics, and delete operations via the [`ibee` CLI](/docs/infrastructure/cloud-vms/launch-your-first-vm#using-the-ibee-cli) and the IBEE Solutions API. ## Instance families Two families are available — choose by workload profile, then pick a size within the family. | Family | Use case | | ---------------------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | [Standard VMs](/docs/infrastructure/cloud-vms/instance-types) | Balanced vCPU and memory for everyday production workloads — web apps, SaaS, APIs, small to medium databases. | | [Performance VMs](/docs/infrastructure/cloud-vms/instance-types) | Compute-optimized with higher CPU density — high-traffic web servers, gaming, batch processing, distributed systems. | For accelerated workloads (training, inference, rendering), see [GPU VMs](/docs/infrastructure/gpu-vms). ## Regions and locations Cloud VMs are available in the **Asia** region, in data centers in Amaravati and Hyderabad, India. The Deploy page lists the locations open to your organization. See [Regions and locations](/docs/getting-started/overview/regions-and-locations) for the full availability matrix. > **Info** > > Browser console access to VMs isn't available in the portal yet. Use SSH or RDP with the details under **Overview → Connection Details**, and **Settings → Access** to recover SSH access. ## Lifecycle of a VM | Stage | What you do | Where | | ------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | **Deploy** | Pick location, plan, OS, SSH keys, network, billing term, and hostname. | [Create a VM](/docs/infrastructure/cloud-vms/create-a-vm) | | **Configure** | Attach volumes, adjust firewall rules, attach VPCs and Reserved IPs. | [Attach volumes](/docs/infrastructure/cloud-vms/attach-volumes) · [Networking](/docs/infrastructure/cloud-vms/networking-for-vms) | | **Operate** | Monitor metrics, run power actions, manage access. | [Monitoring](/docs/infrastructure/cloud-vms/monitoring) · [Power actions](/docs/infrastructure/cloud-vms/power-actions) | | **Protect** | Enable scheduled backups or take manual snapshots. | [Backups](/docs/tools/backups) · [Snapshots](/docs/tools/snapshots) | | **Scale** | Change plan to upgrade CPU, RAM, or disk, or downgrade CPU and RAM — no rebuild required. | [Resize a VM](/docs/infrastructure/cloud-vms/resize-a-vm) | | **Retire** | Stop and delete when no longer needed. | [Power actions](/docs/infrastructure/cloud-vms/power-actions#delete) | ## Related pages * [Launch your first VM](/docs/infrastructure/cloud-vms/launch-your-first-vm) * [Create a VM](/docs/infrastructure/cloud-vms/create-a-vm) * [Instance types](/docs/infrastructure/cloud-vms/instance-types) * [Monitoring](/docs/infrastructure/cloud-vms/monitoring) * [Backups](/docs/tools/backups) * [Snapshots](/docs/tools/snapshots) > Launch and manage virtual machines on IBEE Solutions — flexible compute for web apps, APIs, backends, databases, and dev environments. ## Docs - [Create a VM](https://docs.ibee.co.in/docs/infrastructure/cloud-vms/create-a-vm.md): Deploy one or more Cloud VMs on IBEE Solutions — choose a location, plan, operating system, SSH keys, network, billing term, and hostname, then click Deploy. - [Launch your first VM](https://docs.ibee.co.in/docs/infrastructure/cloud-vms/launch-your-first-vm.md): A 5-minute quickstart for deploying your first IBEE Solutions VM from the portal or the ibee CLI. - [Instance types](https://docs.ibee.co.in/docs/infrastructure/cloud-vms/instance-types.md): Choose the right Cloud VM instance type based on CPU, memory, disk, and workload profile. - [OS images](https://docs.ibee.co.in/docs/infrastructure/cloud-vms/os-images.md): Pick an operating system template for your Cloud VM, or boot from an ISO, snapshot, or backup — and find the credentials to sign in. - [Custom images](https://docs.ibee.co.in/docs/infrastructure/cloud-vms/custom-images.md): Boot a Cloud VM from your own ISO, a snapshot, or a backup recovery point. - [Resize a VM](https://docs.ibee.co.in/docs/infrastructure/cloud-vms/resize-a-vm.md): Move a Cloud VM to a different plan — upgrade CPU, RAM, and disk, or downgrade CPU and RAM — without rebuilding. - [Power actions](https://docs.ibee.co.in/docs/infrastructure/cloud-vms/power-actions.md): Start, stop, reboot, and delete IBEE Solutions VMs safely, and what to use while browser console access is unavailable. - [Networking for VMs](https://docs.ibee.co.in/docs/infrastructure/cloud-vms/networking-for-vms.md): How public IPs, VPCs, NAT, Reserved IPs, firewall groups, and bandwidth work for IBEE Solutions VMs. - [Attach volumes](https://docs.ibee.co.in/docs/infrastructure/cloud-vms/attach-volumes.md): Add Block Storage volumes to a Cloud VM and mount them inside the guest. - [Monitoring](https://docs.ibee.co.in/docs/infrastructure/cloud-vms/monitoring.md): Track CPU, memory, disk, and network metrics for your Cloud VM, and review recent activity.
