# Create an Organization

> Create an IBEE Solutions organization to manage resources, billing, and team members. Learn about country restrictions, geo-detection, currency assignment, tax invoices, and GST verification for Indian businesses.

An organization is a billing and resource boundary in IBEE Solutions. Each organization has its own wallet, team members, and workspaces. You can create multiple organizations under a single login — up to **3 owned organizations** by default. See [Organization limits](/docs/platform-fundamentals/limits-and-quotas#organization-limits).

## Before you begin

* A signed-in IBEE Solutions account ([Sign up](/docs/getting-started/account-setup/sign-up) if you haven't already)
* Your billing address (street, city, postal code, and country)

> IBEE Solutions is available in [26 serving countries](/docs/getting-started/account-setup/restricted-countries#serving-countries). Services are not offered in [46 restricted countries](/docs/getting-started/account-setup/restricted-countries) due to U.S. export-control regulations.

## Country detection

When you open the organization creation form, the portal detects your country automatically using Cloudflare geo-detection. Three outcomes are possible:

| Detection result       | What happens                                                                                                                                                             |
| ---------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Serving country**    | Your country is pre-filled in the form. Currency and tax type are set automatically.                                                                                     |
| **Restricted country** | A red banner appears: *"Services not available in \{country}."* You can still select a different country if your registered business is in a supported region.           |
| **Other country**      | An amber banner appears: *"We don't currently serve \{country}."* Pick a supported country where you have a registered entity, or [contact sales](mailto:sales@ibee.ai). |

## Currency and tax assignment

Currency and tax type are set automatically based on your selected country:

| Country                     | Currency           | Tax type  |
| --------------------------- | ------------------ | --------- |
| India                       | INR (Indian Rupee) | GST       |
| United States               | USD (US Dollar)    | Sales Tax |
| All other serving countries | USD (US Dollar)    | VAT       |

Currency is locked to your country and cannot be changed in the form. If you need a different currency, click **Request a change** below the currency field to submit a currency change request with supporting documents.

### 1. Go to organization setup

**First-time users:** After your first login you land on the **Organizations** page. Click **Create New Organization**.

**Existing users:** Do one of the following:

* On the **Organizations** page, click **Create Organization** in the top right.
* Open the organization switcher in the top bar and click **New Organization**.

If you already own the maximum number of organizations, the **Create Organization** button is hidden and the portal takes you to the [limit increase request](/docs/platform-fundamentals/limits-and-quotas#request-more-organizations) instead.

### 2. Fill in Organization Details

| Field             | Required         | Notes                                                                  |
| ----------------- | ---------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Organization Name | Yes              | A nickname for your reference — shown in your organization list        |
| Organization Type | Yes              | **Business** (default) or **Individual**                               |
| Business Name     | Yes (Business)   | Legal entity name, used on invoices. Auto-filled from GST if verified. |
| Full Name         | Yes (Individual) | Your full name as on government ID, used on invoices                   |

### 3. Fill in Billing Address

| Field           | Required |
| --------------- | -------- |
| Street Address  | Yes      |
| Apartment/Suite | No       |
| City            | Yes      |
| State/Region    | No       |
| Postal Code     | Yes      |
| Country         | Yes      |

The **Country** dropdown only lists the 26 serving countries. Selecting a country automatically sets the currency and tax type.

### 4. Tax Information and Create

Check **I want a tax invoice** if you require GST, VAT, or sales tax invoices for this organization. A tax ID field appears for your country, and you must verify it before **Create Organization** is enabled.

#### GST verification (India)

For organizations in India, the field is **GST Identification Number (GSTIN)**:

1. Enter your 15-character GSTIN (auto-uppercased).
2. Click **Verify GST**.
3. The portal verifies the GSTIN against government records and shows a confirmation dialog with:
   * Company name, GSTIN, status, registration date, business type, and taxpayer type
   * Registered address from GST records
4. Click **Apply Details and Create Organization** to auto-fill the business name and address from GST records and create the organization in one step.

#### Tax ID validation (other countries)

For other serving countries, enter your tax ID and click **Validate** (the button shows the ID type, for example **Validate EIN**). The portal checks the format for your country:

| Country                 | Tax ID field                         |
| ----------------------- | ------------------------------------ |
| United States           | Employer Identification Number (EIN) |
| Australia               | Australian Business Number (ABN)     |
| Canada                  | Business Number (BN)                 |
| Singapore               | Unique Entity Number (UEN)           |
| United Kingdom          | VAT Registration Number              |
| United Arab Emirates    | Tax Registration Number (TRN)        |
| Other serving countries | VAT or tax identification number     |

Click **Change** to edit a validated ID.

When all required fields are complete, click **Create Organization**.

## After creation

The portal opens the new organization's **Workspaces** page. Every new organization starts with three workspaces — **production**, **dev**, and **stage** — which count toward the limit of 5 workspaces per organization. If you haven't verified your identity yet, a banner prompts you to complete KYC. Click **Complete KYC** to [verify your identity](/docs/getting-started/account-setup/verify-your-identity). Full access to deploy servers and use all cloud services requires completed identity verification.

## Troubleshooting

**Create button is disabled**
Ensure all required fields are filled. If you checked **I want a tax invoice**, verify your GSTIN (India) or validate your tax ID (other countries) first.

**Create Organization button is missing**
You own the maximum number of organizations. [Request more organizations](/docs/platform-fundamentals/limits-and-quotas#request-more-organizations).

**Country not in the dropdown**
Only the 26 serving countries appear in the dropdown. See the [restricted countries](/docs/getting-started/account-setup/restricted-countries) page for the full list.

**Red banner: "Services not available"**
You are in a restricted country. If you have a registered business in a supported country, select that country manually. Otherwise, [contact sales](mailto:sales@ibee.ai).

**Currency shows wrong value**
Currency is determined by your country: India uses INR, all others use USD. To request a different currency, click the **Request a change** link below the currency field.

**GST verification failed**
Ensure you are entering a valid, active 15-character GSTIN. Inactive or cancelled GSTINs are rejected.
