Your login is personal: it is the same across every organization you own or belong to. Two-factor authentication (2FA), your password, and your login history are managed from your user profile, not from an organization's settings. ## Open your security settings 1. Click your **avatar** in the top-right corner of the portal. 2. Click **View Profile**. The **User Settings** page opens. The **Security** section contains **Two-Factor Authentication**, **Password**, and **Login History**. ## Two-factor authentication With 2FA turned on, every login needs your password **and** a 6-digit code from an authenticator app on your phone. 2FA is off until you turn it on. ### Turn on 2FA ### Install an authenticator app Install an authenticator app on your phone — for example Google Authenticator, Authy, or Microsoft Authenticator. ### Start setup In **Security → Two-Factor Authentication**, click **Enable Two-Factor Authentication**. ### Confirm your password Enter your current password under **Enter Your Password to Continue** and click **Continue**. ### Scan the QR code Open your authenticator app and scan the QR code. If you can't scan it, copy the setup key shown under **Can't scan? Enter this key manually** into the app. > **Warning** > > Save the QR code or setup key somewhere secure. You need it to set up the authenticator again if you lose access to your app. ### Enter a code Type the current 6-digit code from the app into **Enter the 6-digit Code from Your App** and click **Enable 2FA**. The code changes every 30 seconds. The status badge changes to **Enabled**. ### Log in with 2FA After you enter your email and password on the login page, the portal shows **Two-Factor Authentication** and asks for your **2FA Code**. Enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app and click **Verify & Log in**. ### Turn off 2FA 1. In **Security → Two-Factor Authentication**, click **Disable 2FA**. 2. Enter your current password. 3. Confirm with **Disable 2FA**. After 2FA is off, you only need your password to log in. ## Change your password 1. In **Security → Password**, click **Change Password**. 2. Enter your **Current Password**. 3. Enter a **New Password**. It must meet the same rules as when you signed up: 12–20 characters with at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one number, and one special character. 4. Click **Update Password**. ## Login history **Security → Login History** lists your recent login attempts: | Column | Description | | --------------- | ------------------------------------ | | **Date & Time** | When the login was attempted | | **IP Address** | The IP address the attempt came from | | **Status** | **Successful** or **Failed** | If you see a login you don't recognize, change your password right away and turn on 2FA. ## Reset a forgotten password ### Request a reset link On the login page, click **Forgot password?**. Enter your **Email** and click **Send Reset Link**. If an account exists for that address, a password reset link is sent to it. ### Set a new password Open the link from the email. On **Set Your Password**, enter a new **Password**, confirm it in **Confirm Password**, and click **Set Password**. The password rules are the same as at [sign-up](/docs/getting-started/account-setup/sign-up). ### Log in The portal returns you to the login page. Log in with your new password. If the reset link has expired, the page shows **Request a new reset link**. Click it to start again. ## Related pages * [Sign up](/docs/getting-started/account-setup/sign-up) * [Team members & access roles](/docs/platform-fundamentals/team-members-access-roles) * [API Tokens](/docs/tools/api-tokens) > Protect your IBEE Solutions login — turn on two-factor authentication with an authenticator app, change your password, review your login history, and reset a forgotten password.
